Privacy Policy for GYN lite

Monitoring, computer vision detection, and alerts run entirely on your Android device. Your camera frames (RTSP feeds, IP cameras, device cameras, NVRs, and DVRs) are analysed on-device in real-time and are never uploaded or streamed to any remote server. No cloud service is required for continuous monitoring.

Camera stream frames, created monitoring jobs, alert policies, boundary region polygons, forensic snapshot captures, saved detection videos, downloaded computer vision models (.tflite, .param, .bin, .onnx), user preferences, and cached diagnostic files remain strictly on your local device storage. Feedback or notes you write are stored locally and are never transmitted without your explicit action.

Only data explicitly authorized by you ever leaves your device: (a) If you opt into user authentication, your account email and display name are kept securely by Firebase Authentication to maintain your login session. (b) If you participate in training dataset collection, dataset videos leave the device only when you tap 'Upload', transferring directly to your designated secure storage for model training.

We never collect, store, or view your live CCTV video feeds, camera passwords, local RTSP endpoints, forensic alert snapshots, or bounding box detection coordinates in the cloud. We do not track your physical GPS location, access your contact address book, run advertising trackers, sell personal data, or share information with data brokers.

• Camera: Required when using the Android device's built-in camera as a live security feed or testing models on CameraX previews. • Notifications: Required by the Android operating system to deliver foreground service status notifications, real-time tripwire alarms, and intrusion alerts. • Network / Internet: Required to connect to your local network IP cameras, RTSP streams, NVRs, and DVR units, or download models from public model hubs. • Foreground Service: Required to maintain 24/7 continuous stream monitoring when the app is minimized or the screen is locked. You can review or revoke these permissions at any time via Android System Settings > Apps > GYN lite > Permissions.

• Firebase Authentication: Manages sign-in sessions. • Firebase Analytics (Optional): Collects anonymous crash logs and diagnostic performance metrics only if explicitly enabled in Settings. • Model Providers: Detection models are downloaded from Hugging Face or GitHub upon user request, and the app checks a hosted version endpoint for required updates. These services receive only standard HTTP request headers necessary to download the selected files.

Alert snapshots follow each monitoring job's retention period and can be cleaned up at any time via Settings > Storage > Clean up old media. Dataset recordings can be deleted locally whenever desired. Signing out of the application permanently deletes all local data, cached models, jobs, and snapshots stored on the device.
